Cross EM Hewer w/Maker-Marked Frog. No maker.
Nickel-plated hilt fittings show faint surface wear
with no lifting or speckling to the pommel or crossguard
with well detailed Red Cross emblem on the obverse
langet. Black bakelite grip plates show only minor
wear to the reverse plate where it has rubbed against
the frog, no cracks or chips, and no damage to the
retaining screws. Polished double sawtooth blade
grades EX++ with virtually 100% of the factory matte
crossgraining remaining and no graying or nicks
to cutting edge. Obverse ricasso is stamped, "Ges.Geschützt"
and is complete with black leather buffer pad. Dent-free,
steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of the
original black enamel showing minor surface scratching
to the black enamel primarily on the lower left
edge of shell, but no major loss of factory finish.
Nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light surface
wear with a small depression to the obverse lower
fitting, but no damage to retaining screws. The
black leather, 4-rivet, triple-stitched construction
frog shows minor wear/age to leather, but no rips,
tears, or damage to stitching, and no loose rivets.
Upper obverse is maker marked, "CARL BUSSE
