Brass, basket-style hilt features Imperial eagle with
royal cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm II. In addition to
WK&C trademark, the blade is stamped with the name
of the distributor, "L.H. Berger, Collan. & Co.".
The quality and detailed workmanship of this Kinder
Degen is such that it appears to be a perfect scaled-down
version of an M-89 Degen and not a child's toy.
Overall length of this sword is only 33" and appears
to have been designed for use by an older child or
is possibly a rare dress sword worn with the Naval
dress uniform in the same manner as the 3/4 size miniature
daggers. Etching features floral pattern and military
motif with matte gray background frosting. This is
the first time JRB has seen or offered a sword of
this type or size! Except for the matte finished blade,
this item matches the quality and workmanship of a
full size Naval sword.
Lion head pommel and crossguard which features the
Imperial crown over anchor motif. Double-etched, military
motif pattern. Navy Kinder swords are very rare!
