1st Model Navy Dagger w/Portepee & Hangers.
WKC, knight's helmet stamped TM. For more information

of Collecting the Edged Weapons of Imperial Germany,
Volume I, by LTC (Ret.) Thomas M. Johnson and Thomas
T. Wittmann. Gilded brass hilt fittings show light
surface wear to highlights with 100% factory gilding
remaining in the recesses of the flaming ball/wave-type
pommel and crossguard with fouled anchor design.
Off-white celluloid-over-wood grip shows light surface
wear, but no hairline cracks, chips or nicks and
is complete with tight, twisted brass wire wrap.
Plated, double-fullered, double-etched, blade grades
EX+/EX++, showing light surface wear only with no
gray shadowing/speckling or nicks to cutting edges,
and retains 100% of the light gray background frosting
in the floral motif and fouled anchor etched motif.
Blade is complete with dark brown leather buffer
pad. Dent-free, gilded brass, lighting bolt scabbard
shows surface wear/age patina with portions of gilding
remainng in the recesses of the lightening bolt
motif and adjacent to the oak leaf pattern bands.
There is a small area of surface "pecks"
to the lower obverse and throat is retained by two
dome-head screws. The aluminum portepee in "reef
knot" tie rades EX+ showing light age toning
and minor wear to cord where it has rubbed against
crossguard, but no rips or tears. Black moiré
hangers grade EX showing wear to fabric and backings,
but no damage to the lion's head buckles, slides,
clips or regain chain. EX+EX++ (25904) $1,450. HOLD
