      Third Reich Fire Official Sword w/Etched Blade. WKC (knight head) TM. Gilted brass hilt fittings show light wear/age patina with traces of gilting remaining in the lion head pommel with red eyes, oak leaf motif on knuckle bow and lion head crossguard quillion. Pinned to the obverse langet is a silver Fire Department emblem consisting of crossed fire axes surmounted by a fire helmet. Black celluloid shows surface wear with a few chips adjacent to lion head pommel. Double-etched, plated blade measuring 31” in length grades excellent+ showing light surface wear with one nick in cutting edge. Obverse blade features raised etched floral/military motif with a center design of fire fighting equipment to include ladder, hose, fire axe and fire helmet with swastika! Reverse blade features a raised floral/fire equipment etched motif with 100% of background frosting remaining on both obverse and reverse. Red felt blade buffer pad is present. Dent-free scabbard retains virtually all of its anodized finish showing only light surface wear. Sword is complete with Fire Official sword knot with bullion/carmine crown and acorn.
