Gilted brass hilt fittings show light surface wear with virtually all of the fire gilt remaining to dove head pommel and opened-wing crossguard. Bottom crossguard is "Ges.Gesch" stamped. Black celluloid grip is perfect with tight triple-wire wrap intact. Plated blade grades excellent+ with some light gray speckling but no damage to etched patterns. Obverse blade is etched with floral design with helmet/crossed rifles and closed- wing eagle; reverse blade is etched with floral pattern with helmet/crossed rifles and opened-wing eagle. Has its black leather blade buffer pad intact. Black painted steel scabbard is dent-free with only light crazing to lower scabbard, and retains about 95% of its paint. Exc./Exc+ (15385) $1,795.
