Third Reich Leopard Head Sword w/Campaigns Single-Etched

(Ret.) John R. Angolia as an unattributed model
by Emil Voos. Hilt fittings show light surface wear
to the cast leopard head pommel with red glass eyes,
raised.oak leaf embellished backstrap, knuckle-bow,
ferrule and crossguard with angular langet enhanced
with a raised closed wing, Wehrmacht Eagle. Black
celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks or chips
and with springy aluminum wire wrap present (one
strand broken). Plain, plated blade measuring 33
3/8" in length grades EX+ showing light surface
wear/runner marks with light fray hazing, but no
lifting or nicks to cutting edge and is complete
with dark brown leather blade buffer pad. Lightly,
non-professionally etched on the obverse are the
campaigns in which the original owner participated;
"13 März 1938 Einsatz Österreich."

Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 95%
of the original black enamel showing light surface
wear/crazing, missing paint primarily to upper reverse
