     Third Reich Army Artillery NCO/EM Sword w/Double-Etched Blade & Sword Knot. E.u.F. Hörster, sword within "H" double-oval TM. Plain, unadorned nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear with a few a few gray specks to edge of knuckle-bow, but no lifting to the pommel, crossguard or langestrs. Black bakelite grip is perfect with no cracks or chips and is complete with tight triple wire wrap. Plated double-etched blade measuring 33 ¾" in length grades EX++ showing light surface wear/runner marks with several faintgray specks to lower reverse, but no lifting or peeling to plating nor nicks to cutting edge and is complete with original brown leather blade buffer pad. Obverse blade features a 12 ½" long frosted panel with raised floral design flanking a central panel with raised motif of a mounted artillery section with riders, cannoneers and towed caisson artillery piece. Reverse blade features a 12" long frosted panel with floral designs flanking a central mofif of military equipment to include crossed canon barrels, drum, flags swords and lances. Blade retains 100% of the frosted background finish on the blade panels as well as the laurel leaf motif on the blade spine. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 90% of the original black enamel showing suface crazing/wear to left edge and some missing paint/oxidation to lower shell and obverse drag. Attached to the hilt is an original Army NCO sword knot with gray leather strap with green/bullion crown and bullion acorn in EX+condition.
