KS/98 Bayonet w/Single-Etched Blade. F.W. Höller,
stamped thermometer inside double oval TM. An illustration
of this bayonet appears in 1941 Höller Sales
Catalog as model Nr. 13. Nickel-plated hilt fittings
show light surface wear to pommel, spine and crossguard
with some speckling to right edge of pommel slot
which is complete with original red felt plug. Black
bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks
or chips. Plated blade grades measuring 25cm in
length grades EX+ showing light surface wear/runner
marks with a few faint gray specks along cutting
edge, but no nicks or lifting and is complete with
original brown leather blade buffer pad. Obverse
blade features an etch pattern which appears on
page 18 the 1941 Höller Sales Catalog but has
no order number. Blade features a standard remembrance
inscription in the center bordered on top and bottom
and each end with oak leaves and acorns with 100%
of the background frosting remaining in etch. Dent-free,
steel scabbard retains approximately 85% of original
black enamel showing surface wear/crazing primarily
to obverse with loss of paint where a frog has rubbed
