Long Slotted Third Reich Municipal Police Bayonet w/Matching Numbers. Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, Squirrel over C.E. within double oval TM. Nickel-plated slotted hilt fittings show excellent detail to the eagle head pommel and oak leaf embellished crossguard with only very slight surface wear/age/patina to highlights. Pommel slot is complete with red felt plug. Reverse crossguard is stamped "S.Kö.I.502." (Municipal Police Property, Administrative District Köln, duty location I., weapon number "502"). Nicely toned, dark brown, stag horn grip plates show slight surface wear, but no cracks or chips with Third Reich Police grip emblem properly pinned to obverse plate. Plated blade measuring 32.6cm in length grades EX+ showing light runner marks/wear and some loss of plating on lower blade where it was shortened. Blade is complete with black leather buffer pad. Bblack leather scabbard shows surface wear/age with some loss of color, but no rips or tears or damage to reverse stitching. Nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light surface wear/age/patina with minor dings/creases on lower fitting. Upper fitting is retained with an obverse center mounted round head screw and is stamped "S.Kö.I.502 "matching the crossguard markings.
