  Early Long Municipal Police Bayonet w/Frog & Portepee. Carl Eickhorn, stamped squirrel within small double oval TM. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show excellent detail to the eagle head pommel and oak leaf embellished crossguard with minor wear, but no loss or lifting to plating, and with lower spine stamped "X 2 5." Dark brown stag horn grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips and with Third Reich Police grip emblem properly pinned to the obverse plate. Plated blade grades EX+/EX++ with runner marks/surface wear, minor gray spotting and some loss of plating near tip where blade was shortened. Spine of blade is marked "X 2 5" and complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Black leather scabbard shows light surface wear with some scuffs and scrapes, but no creases, rips or tears, and no damage to the reverse stitching. Nickel-plated scabbard fittings show light surface wear with no lifting or crazing to plating and are complete with retaining staples. Left edge of upper scabbard fitting is stamped "X 2 5." Bayonet is complete with unmarked black leather frog in EX+ condition showing wear to the leather and stitching and missing the lower right rivet. Properly tied to the frog is an EX Police Officer's portepee. EX+/EX++ (26501) $895. HOLD
