This information is confirmed in an advertisement from the Herrmann Schellhorn Firm which is pictured on page 87 of the above reference. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show minor surface wear, but no lifting to the pommel, spine or re-curved crossguard. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 98% of factory black enamel showing light surface crazing to the obverse shell and a few specks of missing paint to lower ball.
