Long Fire Official Bayonet w/Retailer's Mark & Frog. No maker. Although unmarked, the off-set grip retaining screws identify the bayonet as a product of the E. Pack & Söhne firm. Nickel plated hilt fittings show only light wear/age/patina with no lifting of plating to the pommel, spine or re-curved crossguard. Black grips are perfect with no cracks or chips. Black celluloid rip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips and are attached by the off-set grip retaining screws exclusive to the Pack firm. Plated blade measuring 24.5cm grades EX+ showing minor wear/age/runner marks, but no lifting or nicks to cutting edge, and is complete with brown leather buffer pad. The reverse blade is retailer marked, "Peter Müller Gummersbach" (Gummersbach is located approximately 35km SE of Solingen). The dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 98% of black enamel with very minor age crazing.
