Short KS/98 Bayonet w/Single-Etched Blade & Frog. Carl Eickhorn, stamped squirrel holding sword TM. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear with minor lifting to edge of pommel and tip of upturned crossguard. Hilt is complete with original green felt plug in pommel slot. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips. Plated blade measuring 20cm in length grades EX+ showing light surface wear/runner marks with minor gray speckling along reverse cutting edge and a few surface scrapes on lower obverse cutting edge. Obverse blade features Carl Eickhorn etch pattern Nr. 3219 with a ribbon band and standard remembrance of service time motto surrounded by oak leaves with raised Wehrmacht eagle at each end of the etched panel. Blade retains 100% of the light gray back frosting in the etched and is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 98% of the original black enamel showing light surface wear/crazing, no major loss of paint.
