Nickel-plated hilt fittings show virtually no wear with no crazing or lifting to pommel, spine or crossguard. Pommel slot is complete with original red felt plug. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips. Plated blade measuring 19.8cm grades Exc++ with minor surface wear/runner marks and is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Obverse blade features Carl Eickhorn etch pattern Nr. 3219 with a ribbon band and standard remembrance of service time motto surrounded by oak leaves with raised Wehrmacht eagles at each end of the etched panel. Etched panel retains 100% of the background frosting. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of the original black enamel showing light surface crazing and a few specks of lifting primarily to reverse shell.
