Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear to pommel and crossguard with minor age speckling to obverse pommel, and with original red felt plug in pommel slot. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips. Plated blade measuring 20cm in length grades EX++ showing light surface wear/runner marks with minor speckling near brown leather blade buffer pad, but no lifting or nicks to cutting edge. Obverse blade features Carl Eickhorn etch pattern Nr. 3219 with a ribbon band and standard remembrance of service time motto surrounded by oak leaves with raised Wehrmacht eagle at each end of the etched panel. The ribbon panel features unique, gold wash showing no wear or lifting. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 70% of the original black enamel showing uniform surface wear to obverse shell and lower ball.
