Short KS/98 Bayonet w/Single-Etched Blade. Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, Squirrel holding sword stamped TM. Nickel plated over gray metal hilt fittings show only minor wear/age patina with green felt pluf in pommel slot. Black bakelite grips, with steel rivets are perfect with no cracks or chips. The plated blade measuring 19.2cm in length grades EX+ showing minor runner marks/age and tiny chip to blade point, but no pitting or nicks to cutting edges. Obverse blade features Carl Eickhorn etch pattern Nr. 3220 with a ribbon band and standard remembrance of service time motto surrounded by oak leaves with raised oak leaf wreath, stahlhelm and crossed rifles at tip end and Wehrmacht eagle at ricasso end of the etched panel. Blade is complete with brown leather buffer pad. Dent-free seel scabbard retains virtually 100% of the original black enamel with only a few tiny scratches. EX+ (25370) $675.
