Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light age, one spot of lifting to obverse upper edge of pommel, minor crazing to reverse pommel with original red felt plug in pommel slot. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips. Plated blade measuring 20cm in length grades EX++ showing only minor surface wear/runner marks and is complete with black leather blade buffer pad. Obverse blade features Carl Eickhorn etch pattern Nr. 3219 with a central ribbon band with"Zur Erinnerung am meine Dienstzeit" motto surrounded by oak leaves with raised a Wehrmacht eagle at each end of the etched panel which retains 100% of the background frosting. Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of the original black enamel showing light surface wear/crazing primarily to lower reversse shell and some loss of enamel to lower ball.
