Gilted brass hilt fittings show light surface wear to pommel and crossguard, with portions of gilting remaining in recesses of eagle and swastika pommel and fouled anchor crossguard. Off-white celluloid-over-wood grip shows light surface wear is nicely age-toned with no cracks or chips. Is complete with tight twisted brass wire wrap. Plated blade grades excellent+ with light surface wear/runner marks and a few specks of gray shadowing. Is complete with tan felt blade buffer pad. Double-etched fouled anchor/floral motif retains 100% of its medium gray background frosting. Gilted brass scabbard shows light surface wear with portions of factory gilting/lacquer remaining in recesses of lightning bolt pattern, with several faint depressions to obverse scabbard. Attached to the dagger is a rare, original gilt bullion portepee which has aged to a uniform dark, almost brown, color.
