Gilted brass hilt fittings show light surface wear to pommel and crossguard, with much gilting remaining in recesses of eagle & swastika pommel and fouled anchor pattern crossguard. Off-white celluloid-over-wood grip is perfect with no cracks or chips, and is complete with tight twisted brass wire wrap. Plated blade grades excellent+/excellent++ showing light surface wear/runner marks, with 100% of the background frosting remaining in the double-etched, fouled anchor motif. Gilted brass scabbard shows light surface wear with portions of gilting and factory lacquer remaining to the lightning bolt pattern. Both obverse & reverse have several minor depressions, primarily towards tip of scabbard. Is complete with detailed oak leaf scabbard suspension bands.
