Pommel nut is professionally engraved with the initials of the original owner, “W. H.” on either side of a caduceus, the symbol of the medical profession. Grip is complete with Imperial “WR2” cypher pinned to the obverse. Obverse blade features floral panels, as well as the royal cypher, “W2” with Imperial crown flanking a blued presentation panel. The presentation panel features the following inscription: “Dem Stabarztd. Landwehr Dr Hansberg zum 25 Jahr. Offizier-Jubiläum” (to Landwehr Medical Officer Dr. Hansberg on his 25-year anniversary as an officer).
