Imperial Gold Fire Official Dagger. Crossed swords with crown, heavily stamped TM. Very unusual piece features a sharkskin grip with triple brass wire wrap. Has gilted brass fittings. Crossguard features a fireman's helmet in the center within a panel on the obverse. Upper scabbard fitting shows an ornate obverse and reverse panel. There is some wear to the gilt on the fittings, with the brass showing through. Black leather scabbard is very nice and features two carrying rings near the top. Blade is NOT the stiletto type, but is the type with the blood groove and spine. Blade engraving is very delicate, featuring the Fire Official motif within floral panels. Overall condition of blade is excellent. Is complete with red felt blade buffer pad. Unique! Exc. (12927) $1,395.
