Imperial Presentation Fire Axe. No maker. This unique Fire Axe has a plain plated axe head with a 4-line jeweler-engraved inscription on the obverse, which translates to, "H. Einfeld, for 30 years of service with the volunteer fire department, Co. 2 in Kiel/Wik, d.1.10.27". Black handle has most of its original finish. Attached to the grip is the nickel-silver Fire Official's insignia (helmet with crossed axes beneath). Has its two carrying rings present. Nickel-silver bottom cap shows only light age and wear.
