Miniature KS/98 Bayonet w/Advertising Logo. This well-detailed example, measuring 9 3/8" in overall length was recently obtained in Germany. Nickel-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear with some minor speckling to the plating on the pommel and upper spine and some age patina/residue to crossguard and upturned quillon. Black bakelite grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips. Plated blade measuring 5 5/8" in length grades excellent+ showing light surface wear, with some minor lifting primarily to obverse tip, but no damage to the cutting edge. Obverse blade is jeweler engraved with the advertising log, "Künstler & Co. Dortmund, Fabrik für Feld-und Kleinbahnmaterial". Dent-free steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of the original black enamel, showing wear primarily to lower ball. Nice large size miniature KS/98 bayonet with advertising logo. Exc+ (21864) $295.
