Miniature Army Officer Dagger w/Advertising Logo. Alcoso (ACS, scales) TM. This salesman sample miniature measures approximately 9 ½” in overall length. Silver-plated hilt fittings show light surface wear and age patina with excellent detail to pommel, crossguard and ferrule with some crazing to the plating on the reverse crossguard. Dark orange celluloid grip shows light surface wear with one tiny chip on lower edge adjacent to ferrule. Plated blade grades VG+ showing light surface wear/runner marks and some minor lifting with a crimp at the very tip of the blade with loss of approximately ¼” of the plating at tip. Obverse, flat blade is jeweler-etched with the name, “Alfred Senftleben Wittenberge”. Wittenberge is located northwest of Berlin on the Elbe river. Does not have its leather blade buffer pad. Silver-plated scabbard shows light surface wear with some specks of darkening particularly on reverse with suspension bands and rings present and dark age patina. VG+/Exc. (19367) $875.
