This example, measuring 10 1/8" in length, features silver-plated hilt fittings showing light surface wear/age patina to the well-detailed oak leaf pommel with swastika, and crossguard with Luftwaffe eagle. Medium yellow, nicely age-toned celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks or chips and is complete with tight twisted wire wrap. Plated blade grades excellent, showing light surface wear with uniform gray shadowing on both obverse and reverse, and one tiny crimp to tip of blade. Blade is complete with original dark blue felt buffer pad. Dent-free silver-plated scabbard shows light surface wear with dark age patina matching the hilt fittings, and with excellent detail to the pebbling, lower oak leaf motif, as well as the double scabbard suspension bands complete with rings.
