Cased Miniature 1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger. This ultra rare, possibly one-of-a-kind cased miniature 1st Model Luftwaffe dagger without scabbard measures only 3 1/8" in total length. Aluminum hilt fittings are complete with gilt filled pommel and crossguard swastikas and stylized feathering on the crossguard. Off-white celluloid grip plates are perfect with no cracks or chips and are attached by two tiny rivets. Pewter gray, fine-grained simulated Damascus blade measuring 2" in total length grades excellent++, showing only light aging. Dagger is complete with black leatherette hinged case measuring 3 3/8" long x 1 3/8" wide and grades excellent+, showing light age/wear to leatherette. Attached to the exterior lid is a gray metal 2nd pattern Luftwaffe eagle. Interior lid is covered in padded purple velvet with matching velvet lower portion fitted and recessed to accept the miniature dagger without scabbard. Unique handmade miniature.
