Miniature 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger. Alcoso, ACS scales TM. This superb Alcoso example measuring 10 1/8" in overall length was recently obtained in Germany. Silver plated hilt fittings show dark, gun-metal gray age patina to the well detailed oak leaf pommel with swastikas, which appear to never have been gilted, Army pattern ferrule as used by Alcoso, and crossguard with Luftwaffe eagle which retains 100% of the factory darkening in the recesses of the wings. Light yellow, nicely toned, solid celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks or chips, and is complete with tight twisted wire wrap. Plated blade measuring approximately 6" in length grades Near MINT showing only faint surface wear/runner marks with no lifting or crazing to the plating and no nicks to the cutting edges. Blade is complete with original dark felt buffer pad. Dent-free silver-plated scabbard shows dark age patina matching the hilt fittings, with portions of factory lacquer remaining on upper scabbard above the suspension bands.
