This superb miniature measuring approximately 9 ½" in overall length features natural aluminum hilt fittings showing virtually no wear to the well detailed oak leaf embellished pommel and crossguard which retain 100% of the factory frosting. Medium-orange, solid celluloid grip, nicely age toned darker on the obverse, is perfect with no wear, cracks, or chips, and is complete with tight, twisted, wire wrap. Plated, mirror bright blade grades Near MINT with faint runner marks, but no lifting, graying or nicks to cutting edges. Obverse flat of the blade is jeweler-engraved with, "Strassenbau Herbst" seit 1896 (Road Construction Herbst since 1896) in Gothic and block letters. Reverse blade is D.R.G.M. marked and complete with original blue/black leather blade buffer pad. Dent-fre, blued steel scabbard retains 100% of bluing with only faint age, but no wear or damage and is complete with suspension bands and scabbard rings.
