.Miniature 1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger. E. & F. Hörster, double oval TM. This rare miniature dagger measuring 9 ½" in total length was recently obtained in Germany. The later production gray metal hilt fittings show only light surface wear un-gilded ommel and crossguard swastikas. Dark blue celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks or chips and is complete with tight twisted brass colored wire wrap. Plated blade measuring 6 ¼" in length grades EX+/EX++ showing several small gray specks and some minor faint shadowing, but no nicks or damage to the cutting edges and is complete with boue leather buffer pad. Stippled metal simulated leather scabbard shows only light surface wear with some scuffing/loss to blue paint along scabbard edges and is complete with gray metal fittings with simulated retaining staples and complete with two suspension rings. Nice original Hörster example, not a post-war assembled piece. This miniature was originally complete with case that was sold to another collector. EX+ (25461) $895.
