This superb, cased miniature was recently obtained in Germany complete with portepee and issue carton. This miniature dagger measures approximately 9 ½" in length with superb detail to oak leaf embellished pommel and crossguard which retain 100% of the factory darkening on highlights and in the recesses. Pumpkin-orange, solid celluloid grip is perfect with no wear, cracks, or chips, and is complete with tight, twisted silver wire wrap. Plated , mirror bright blade grades Near MINT with faint wear near tip, but no lifting, graying or nicks to cutting edges. Obverse flat of the blade is jeweler-engraved with the name, "Alfred Teves G.m.b.H./Frankfurt a.M.". Reverse blade is D.R.G.M. marked and complete with original blue leather blade buffer pad. Dent-free blued steel scabbard is perfect with no wear or damage and is complete with scabbard rings. Attached to the dagger is an original large-size miniature portepee in MINT condition.
