Miniature 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger w/Dark Orange Grip. Alcoso, ACS scales TM. This example, measuring 10" in length, features silver-plated hilt fittings showing light surface wear/dark age-patina to the well-detailed oak leaf pommel with swastika, and crossguard with Luftwaffe eagle. The lower edges of the swastika have been professionally ground, (possibly because of damage or in an attempt to lessen the impact of the swastika). The grinding has not destroyed the overall shape of the swastika. The dark, burnt-orange, nicely age-toned celluloid grip is perfect with no cracks or chips and is complete with tight twisted wire wrap. Plated blade grades EX, showing light surface wear with minor speckling to plating and one spot of lifting near obverse tip, but no nicks to cutting edges. Blade is complete with original dark blue felt buffer pad. Dent-free silver-plated scabbard shows light surface wear with dark, age-patina matching the hilt fittings, and with excellent detail to the pebbling, lower oak leaf motif, as well as the double scabbard suspension bands complete with rings.
