Miniature M-89 Sword. No maker. This deluxe hilted miniature sword is a larger size than I have encountered in the past. It measures approximately 13-l/2" in overall length! Sword features a highly ornate hilt showing the royal cypher on the underside of the handguard. Top portion has the Imperial eagle, is quite ornate and shows hand-chiseling. Grip is black celluloid with triple wire wrap. Has a brown leather washer between the blade and the hilt section. Plain blade is unengraved. Blade shows only light age. Scabbard is quite unique and is a black metal with gilted brass fittings. Scabbard features a single carrying ring. Lower drag is very ornate. Obverse portion of the scabbard does show some very light dents. Very rare miniature piece and the first of this type and size that I have encountered! Great item for any Imperial blade collector.
