Miniature Imperial Model 89 Sword. This unique, one-of-a-kind piece is 14" in overall length and features brass hilt. Handle is blue anodized metal with twisted wire wrap. Has the royal cypher on the obverse grip. Handguard features large eagle with crown. Wrapped around the bottom portion of the grip is a larger-than- normally-seen miniature portepee with silver bullion strap featuring two blue lines running down the length. Plated blade features a double blood groove on each side, shows only minor age with a few nicks to the edge. Anodized scabbard is undented and shows only a few small spots of corrosion. Scabbard is lined in felt. This is the first Imperial Model 89 sword of this large size and quality detail that I have ever encountered. Rare! Exc++ (13588) $995.
