#8 (SA) on McSarr’s rating scale. It was stated that it was never seen by Late LTC. Thomas Johnson on an SS. Nickel/silver fittings on the grip and scabbard. Reverse side of lower crossguard is marked with an “I”. A minor dent to ball on the lower scabbard fitting. Matching “P” and “A” markings on the inside of the crossguards. Beautiful grip shows virtually no surface wear at all with a hairline crack on reverse upper side of grip. Retains almost 100% of the dark gray etching on the motto. Scabbard retains 85% of original paint with one minor indentation on reverse. Overall choice SS dagger with EXTREMELY rare maker. EX++.
