PAUL WEYERSBERG, SOLINGEN sword within wreath double-oval TM. Hilt fittings show almost no wear/age to well-detailed oakleaf-embellished pommel and crossguard. Grip is a brilliant orange on the obverse side swirling into a goldenrod shade on the reverse for a stunning and very unique two-toned effect. Grip is complete with tight twisted wire wrap and shows only a very faint bit of speckling to reverse, but absolutely no cracks or chips. Waffen-amt stamped, plated blade grades near MINT and shows only the faintest of runner marks. Absolutely dent-free scabbard boasts a dark natural age patina, showing only a slight bit of speckling along the side below the suspension bands. Much of the brilliant factory finish still remains within the pebbled and oakleaf panels, and the scabbard throat is retained by two side-mounted screws. A piece truly meant for the discerning collector who only wants the very best condition! Each purchase from Tom’s personal collection will come with a signed and notarized statement of authenticity on JRB&M letterhead which would also state that the piece has been stored in Tom’s personal collection for a minimum of several decades, some as long as 55 years. This is truly a rare collecting opportunity!
