Description

Army Artillery NCO Parade Dress Uniform. This private purchase, quality uniform recently obtained in Germany, consists of a private purchase quality custom tailored tunic, and straight trousers. The tunic is constructed of Feldgrau tricot/elastique wool with dark green collar w/aluminum tress, cuffs and shoulder straps w/tress and two pips for rank of Oberfeldwebel, as well as “80” Regimental number in silver metal numbers. Collar, cuffs, shoulder straps, front panels, and rear scallop flaps are piped in Hochrot Artillery red. Hand-stitched to the lower right sleeve is a Funkmeister badge consisting of three machine embroidered blitzes in yellow thread on a blue/green background. Tunic is complete with bright aluminum pebbled buttons and machine embroidered aluminum breast eagle. Attached to the right shoulder strap is non-standard shooting lanyard consisting of double woven bright aluminum bullion dress aiguillette cords with two bullion acorns attached to the lower button loop. Interior of tunic is lined in gray artificial silk and is complete with interior adjuster belt which is ink stamped, “Stab II/A.R.80” (Sta, 2nd Battalion, Artillery Regiment 80). There is NO name label in the tunic and the tailor’s label has been removed. Tunic shows only minor wear with three light stains on the upper right sleeve, but no moth tracking or nips and no rips or tears. Tunic size is approximately U.S. size 42. Straight trousers are constructed of stone gray doe skin wool and edged in “Hochrot” (bright red) Artillery piping, and are complete with brace buttons. Trousers grade Near MINT, showing virtually no wear, moth nips, or age. Uniform is complete with ranklist documentation indicating that the pre-war garrison of 2nd Battalion, Artillery Regiment 80 was Jüterbog located approximately 65km SE of Berlin and assigned to the 3rd Light Division (converted to 8th Panzer Division in the winter of 1939-40).
