Maker: Eickhorn; Condition: EX/EX+

$3,200.00

Eickhorn, Solingen with squirrel holding sword TM, plus RZM M7/66 with 1939 etch. The plated hilt fittings show minor surface wear with faint speckling throughout and some lifting on the reverse of the crossguard just above the grip. The walnut-brown, oak-grained wooden grip shows minor age with two faint surface depressions on the center obverse, but no cracks and with early quality grip-to-crossguard fit. The silver grip eagle and SA insert are properly inset with perfect fit. Polished blade grades EX++ with some surface runner marks but pitting, speckling, or damage to the blade tip. The deeply etched motto and RZM mark retain some of the medium gray background frosting. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 95% of the original black enamel, showing uniform surface crazing with a few small specks of missing paint primarily to reverse shell, but no major loss of factory finish.  Dent-free plated upper, center, and lower scabbard fittings show light surface wear with no lifting or pitting and no damage to the lower ball. All five scabbard screws appear to be unturned with no damage. Heavy plated chain hanger grades EX+ with some lifting to plating but no damage to the links or connectors. The chain is properly marked on the reverse, “Musterschutz NSKK-Korpsführung” and RZM M5/8 (F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Ansbach). An excellent RZM-marked Chained NSKK example.
