Polished, double-etched blade measuring 14 7/8″ in length grades VG+/Exc. showing light surface wear/runner marks with areas of pitting to obverse/reverse ricasso and lower blade, but no nicks to the cutting edge. Etched panels on both obverse and reverse feature hunting scenes of stag and doe, hounds attacking boar, as well as hunter and hunting hounds. Blade is complete with tan leather buffer pad. Skinning knife measuring 7 ¼” in length grades VG/Exc. showing surface wear/graying to blade with no damage to dark brown stag horn grip with on gold acorn/oak leaf attached to upper obverse. Black leather scabbard shows surface wear and some damage to reverse stitching, but no rips, tears or creases. Dent-free, deluxe, gilded brass, scabbard fittings show light surface wear/age patina and a small split to lower right edge of the upper fitting, with both retaining staples present. The upper fitting is complete with large acorn suspension lug and is formed to accept the skinning knife. Obverse upper fitting features incised laurel leaf borders on the upper portion with oak leaves on the skinning knife portion and reverse.
