Description

The overall condition of this beautiful SA dagger is Near MINT. Perfect fitting grip and insignia inserts. The anodized scabbard would be extremely difficult to ever upgrade. The early nickel/silver crossguards have matching internal stampings and were manufactured by either Richard Hoppmann or Karl Holgrichter (see page 68 and 69 of my Volume VI of Collecting the Edged Weapons of the Third Reich). Comes complete with a Mint RZM stamped SA brown leather hanger. Needless to say, the true value of this presentation is the beautiful Damascus steel blade. The dealer/owner of this presentation Damascus dagger when acquired by the current consignor believed the original owner/wearer of this dagger was Dr. Kourad Henlein, the Gauleiter of Bohemia and Moravia, and provided the consignor with a facsimile of Dr. Henlein.  Here is the opportunity to own a beautiful rare SA Damast dagger by the Henckels firm in Solingen. Both the SA motto on the obverse blade and the presentation on the reverse blade are complete with gold lettering. EX++/Near MINT. CONSIGNMENT.
