These early pieces are noticeably heavier than the later aluminum version. This is a desirable early example in all nickel-silver. The high quality plated blade is EX++. There is just a bit of age and light runner marks. The reverse is unmarked. The blade is seated through a pebbled blue leather washer into the solid nickel crossguard. The hilt fittings are all early silver washed nickel with brass inserted swastikas. The grip is wire wrapped with 3 wires, the center wire being the springy type. The all nickel chain has 14 lower and 9 upper ringlets terminating at a solid nickel clip. The scabbard is nicely leather wrapped perfectly matching the grip in color and texture. All the fittings are early solid nickel and have the correct headless screws intact.
