CHRISTIANSWERK, SOLINGEN with fork in double oval. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear/age patina with reverse lower crossguard group-marked “Nrh” for Niederrhein. Reddish brown grip with early production quality grip-to-crossguard fit shows some wear and age, with silver grip eagle and SA insert properly inset. Polished blade grades EX showing surface wear/runner marks and no nicks to the cutting edges. Deeply etched motto retains 90% of its dark gray background frosting. Steel scabbard has been repainted but is missing much of its finish. The nickel-silver scabbard fittings show minor surface wear/age with some minor depressions to the lower scabbard fitting and ball. Dagger is complete with unmarked black leather hanger.
