EMIL VOOS, SOLINGEN with snake and tree trunk TM. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear/age patina with lower crossguard group marked, “P” for Pommern. Both Ralph Siegert’s SA book and the “McSarr” scale rate this maker a “5”. Reddish brown wooden grip shows almost no wear and no cracks or chips with silver grip eagle and SA insert properly inset. Polished blade grades EX++ showing surface wear/runner marks only with deeply etched SA motto retaining 98% of the light gray background frosting. Dent-free steel scabbard shows light surface wear retaining approximately 80% of the brown anodized finish and some factory lacquer to shell. Anodization shows thinning along upper and lower scabbard fittings and one minor depression to middle/lower half. Nickel-silver fittings show light surface wear/age patina and no damage to lower ball. EX+/EX++ (28896) Consignment
