HACO Berlin double circle TM.  An important early maker, that produced a very precise attractive dagger. Uncleaned, nickel silver fittings show light surface wear/age/scratches/ patina/residue with reverse lower crossguard showing minor dings and group marked B. Medium tan, wooden grip shows light surface wear/age/patina, ¾ inch crack on the reverse extending from the top fitting. Period wearer initials at top of obverse grip. Grip originally beautifully gloss lacquered and retains 80% of this finish.  Eagle and SA insert neatly done. Bright blade has deeply etched motto and makers mark. Blade shows typical runner marks and a few small blemishes along the cutting edge.  Point slightly rounded. Steel scabbard retains 100% of original brown anodization, showing minor surface wear with one nick and a small crease obverse and two small creases reverse. Nickel silver fittings with turned screws show minor surface scrapes/wear/patina. Ball on lower reverse has an indentation and hairline cracks in the metal. Desirable HACO manufacturer.
