Clemen & Jung, Solingen “Z” in shield TM. This maker is rated at “6” on the McSARR scale. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear/age with reverse lower crossguard marked “Nrh” for Nordrhein. Medium-brown, fine-grained wooden grip shows light surface wear including two very minor chips against lower crossguard. Blade grades EX/EX+ showing surface wear/runner marks and gray speckling with no nicks or cuts to the cutting edge. Deeply etched motto retains much of its deep gray background frosting. Steel scabbard retains approximately 90% of the brown anodization and much of its lacquer, with one indentation along the edge. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show surface wear, primarily surface crazing to lower fitting. Unmarked early hanger grades EX with no rips or tears.
