HUGO LINDER, C.W.SOHN, SOLINGEN-WEYER and LINOR with stylized “wings” in oval etched TM. This maker is rated as a “7” on the rarity scale in both Ralph Siegert’s SA book and the “McSarr” scale. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show uncleaned surface wear/age patina with reverse lower crossguard marked “He” for Hessen. Medium-red brown, fine-grained wooden grip shows light surface wear with several faint depressions but, no chips or cracks and with silver grip eagle and SA insert properly inset. Mirror polished blade grades EX+/EX++ showing surface wear/runner marks with no nicks or cuts to the cutting edge. Deeply etched motto retains 85% of the artificial blackening to background. Dent-free, steel scabbard retains approximately 88% of the brown anodization with surface scratches to lacquer. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show surface wear/yellow age patina and a few minor depressions to upper and lower fittings. The ball is undented. EX+/EX++
