Etched “PS” within circle bordered by PAUL SEILHEIMER SOLINGEN- (Scarce SA) TM. Nickel-silver hilt fittings show light surface wear/age patina with reverse lower crossguard group marked “S” (Schlesien). Walnut-brown, fine-grained wooden grip shows light surface wear with one tiny hairline crack on upper reverse adjacent to crossguard, but no cracks chips, with early quality grip-to-crossguard fit, and is complete with silver grip eagle and SA insert properly inset. Mirror polished blade grades EX+ showing surface wear/runner marks and minor gray shadowing, but no pitting or nicks to cutting edges. Deeply etched motto retains 100% of the light gray background frosting. Steel scabbard retains approximately virtually 100% of the original brown anodization with minor surface scratches and a tiny depression on the lower reverse shell. Nickel-silver scabbard fittings show light surface wear/age patina with small depressions to the reverse and underside of the lower scabbard ball. Scabbard retaining screws are undamaged. Brown leather hanger with early nickel-silver buckle and unmarked upper clip grades EX+ showing light age to leather and fittings. The belt loop leather grades EX++ with lifting and brown oxidation to the D-ring. Nice early Seilheimer combination.
