Deluxe Hunting Cutlass by WKC with Third Reich period stamped Knight’s Head and W.K.C. letters TM. Beautiful engraved blade with hunting scenes and under the clamshell guard. Blade is bright and in near mint condition. Hilt fittings are the deluxe type with fire gold gilt finish and stag/dog heads crossguard. Top fitting has deep chiseled oak leaves and acorn nut. Stag grip has two of the three staggered size acorn and oak leaves embellishments (center one lost to time). Clamshell has reclining deer in trees with beautiful Gau Thuringia Insignia pinned to the center with lion and swastika (very rare to find). Black leather scabbard has the usual gilt brass fittings and is in excellent condition showing normal age and wear. Comes from a large WW2 veteran’s estate that was directly purchased by JRB&M. EX+.
