For complete details on the ultra-rare RMBO Third Reich dress dagger please see my Volume V (pages 60-65) and Volume VII, pages 73-77). This particular consignment RMBO dress dagger was sold to the current consignor by fellow dealer Thomas Wittmann during 2006 (documentation provided). There were very few members of the RMBO and, thus the extreme rarity of their gold dress dagger. Other than the gold wash finish, this dagger is identified to the standard Third Reich Government Official dress dagger. This dagger being offered has the exact tone to the gold that an original piece offers. It appears that this RMBO dagger has never been cleaned and should not be (the gold wash finish would most likely be removed with a cleaning). No gouging to the pommel nut. The dagger has been disassembled once using the proper (safe) tool and all internal parts, to include the wooden grip are stamped #39. The grip plates are perfect and also toned. The blade will grade absolutely MINT. Great dagger from an advanced Third Reich dagger collection. EX+. CONSIGNMENT
