Imperial Artillery Kinder Sabel. No maker. Brass hilt fittings show light surface wear and excellent detail to lion head pommel and heavily chiseled backstrap and knuckle bow. Obverse langet features crossed cannons within circle. Black sharkskin grip shows light surface wear with tight double twisted brass wire present. Polished blade shows surface wear and uniform graying with traces of lightly etched floral motif remaining on obverse blade. Red felt blade buffer pad is present. Dent-free nickel- plated scabbard shows light surface wear with a few specks of lifting and is complete with double suspension bands and rings. Sword is complete with miniature silver bullion portepee which has patinaed to a dark, almost gold color. Exc. (18424)
