WKC (king’s head and knight’s helmet) TM. This Jager Battalion bayonet with engraved dedication is very impressive and of fine quality. It is a real beauty and in superb condition for its age. It has a quill back edge and a wide fuller that runs about two thirds of the length of its 19 3/4 inch blade. The blade has an engraved dedication on the obverse of “Westphalian Jager Battalion NO. 7”. The reverse of the blade is etched with a facsimile portrait of Kaiser Wilhelm II with “Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit” (In remembrance of my service time). The bayonet pommel and crossguard are polished steel/nickel plated with black bakelite grip plates. The black leather scabbard has two parallel lines with upper and lower nickel plated fittings in perfect condition with correct black leather frog. The overall length of this bayonet measures 25 1/5 inches. Near MINT.
